In Hinduism, Saraswati is known as the Goddess of Knowledge, Music, Art, Wisdom and Learning. Maa Saraswati is the daughter of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. It is believed that Saraswati endows human beings with the powers of speech, wisdom and learning. She represents the free flow of wisdom and conscious state of mind. She is a part of Trinity (Tridevi) Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati.

Meaning of Saraswati

Saraswati, sometimes spelled as Sarasvati, is basically derived from the Sanskrit word. It is comprised of two words i.e. “Sara” and “Sva” which means “essence” and “oneself” respectively. Combined these two words give the knowledge about “essence of oneself” and accordingly, the word “Saraswati” means “one who leads to essence of self-knowledge”. राहु और केतु एक साथ मार्च 2019 को राशि परिवर्त कर रहे हैं। यहां हम राहु के स्थान परिवर्तन यानी गोचर की बात करेंगे। वैदिक ज्योतिष में छाया ग्रह के तौर पर जाना जाने वाले राहु का गोचर काफी महत्वपूर्ण होता है।

Around the idol or image of Mahalakshmi and Lord Vishnu, establish 8 small “Kalashas” in eight different directions. Tulsi and Mishri should be the Prasaad offered to the Gods and this Prasad should be distributed to all the family members. Make sure there’s dhoop, ghee deepak and aroma. Using Panchamrit, wash the feet of Gods and drink this panchamrit later. Then chant the Mantra, you have to do this 1, 25, 000 times (divide it accordingly for a number of days, you may do 108 times per day). At the end of every day, it’s important to do the “Kshama Prarthana” (Apology prayer to the Gods) as well.

Another important point to note is that Mahalakshmi is always worshiped ALONG with Lord Vishnu, NOT ALONE. Don’t worship the image of the Goddess sitting on the owl.

- If you find something along the road, at a public place, etc that does not belong to you and you do not know the rightful owner, you should never use it without doing daan of the same of higher amount otherwise Guru, Rahu and Surya will give negative results. This applies even if the item/s is/are very costly.
- The presence of ants, especially red ants, in the house is not a good sign and you should put haldi to get rid of the ants.
- You should never speak negatively about religion, God or your isht or you will attract negative results from Guru, Surya, Rahu and Shaniji in the long run.
- If you observe that your nails are getting brittle, blackish/purplish in colour or overly shiny, you should get your hormone levels tested as it may be indicative of future health problems.
