SOME GENERAL TIPS ON GUN MILAN

An Auspicious Date and Time for one’s marriage is One Of The Most Important Aspect In Marriage.Indian Panchangs (Ephemeris) indicate important and auspicious dates and times for celebrating marriages. While certain sections of Hindus will have no objection to solemnizing the marriage in the month of Ashadha (provided the Sun has not moved into Cancer /Kark), others take objection to this.

It is believed ,that the time, the date, the day of the week, constellation and planetary position obtaining at the time of marriage should be auspicious from all the relevant angles. And this question comes up after the marriage proposal has been accepted by the two parties, and the compatibility seen to or Matchmaking is done.

The Lunar months of Magha, Phalguna, Vaisakha and Jyestha are Considered To be Most Auspicious. Kartika and Margasira are only satisfactory. The other lunar months are not considered to be good and are thus not recommended.
Some learned scholars feel that the marriages can be solemnized in the months of Pushya and Chaitra provided the Sun is in Capricorn and Aries respectively.

The following lunar days viz., from the 11th day (the dark half or Krishan Paksh) to the New Moon, Riktha Thithi, 8th, 12th and 6th are unsuitable and should be thus not considered.

The auspicious lunar days are the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 11th and 13th of the Shukal Paksh (brighter half).

Among the weekdays : Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are more auspicious, Sundays and Saturdays medium, and Tuesdays are usually unsuitable.
The best and most Auspicious Nakshatras are Rohini, Margasira, Magha, Uttara-Phalguna, Hasta, Svati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttarashadha, Uttarabhadrapada and Revati.

The first quarter of Magha and Mula and the last quarter of Revati are Not Auspicious. The other constellations Nakshatras not indicated are not suitable and should be avoided.

The following yogas should be rejected : Vyatipata, Dhruva, Mrityu, Ganda, Vajra, Souta, Vishkambha, Atiganda, Vyaghata and Parigha.Vishtikarana must invariably be discarded.

Among the Zodiac signs / Rashis , Mithun / Gemini, Kanya/Virgo and Tula / Libra are the best.
Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius are medium. The rest are considered to be good from the marital angle.

In Deciding the Mahurt (Auspicious time) for marriage, the 21 Evil doshas which are Normally Avoided for Auspicious works should first be considered.
Sometimes, it becomes impossible to avoid them, in which case, it may become necessary to Resort to OtherBenefic Neutralizing Remedies after considering the totality of the circumstances of the Natal Charts of the Bride and Bridegroom to be.

An important aspect to be considered is that the Moon should not be in the 6th, 8th or 12th house from the girl’s birth sign (Janam Rashi). And the constellation chosen should be such as is suitable for the girl’s birth star (constellation).
It should be an even star viz., 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27. Although the ninth star is not even, yet it is also suitable. Similarly, the star numbers 18 and 27 whose addition number also comes to 9 are also suitable.

In the case of a Bride, the 1st, 10th and 19th stars are Acceptable but not in the case of the Groom. Other important considerations are :

(1) The 7th house .

(2) Mars should not be in the 8th house. Over all Mars Position .

(3) Venus or Jupiter should not be in the 6th house.

(4) The Ascendant should not be hemmed in between Malefics .

(5) The malefics should not occupy the Ascendant.

(6) The Moon in the chart should not be associated with any other Bad planet.

(7) Many more Combinations have to be seen .

Apart from the above , Tarabala, Panchaka, etc. aspects should be looked into.

There are some special combinations ,for which Remedies can be done and such Remedies if done with Shidat And Faith , can Neutralize Adverse Planetary Influences.

An attempt should be made to find out a really propitious moment. Jupiter, Mercury or Venus placed in the Ascendant, malefics in the 3rd house could constitute a powerful factor in making the Ascendant strong and powerful.

Following are some of the good combinations which are favorable for the matrimonial chart (Muhurta).

Mahendra Yog , an auspicious combination requires Jupiter to occupy the Ascendant, Venus in the 8th house and the Sun in the house of gains or the 11th house.

Next to it in prominence is Vishnupriya Yog which requires Venus to stay in the Ascendant with Jupiter in Mid Heaven (the 10th house) and the Sun and Mercury in the house of gains.

Sreenatha Yog and Samundra Yog are not so Auspicious but give benefic results, when Venus occupies the house of income in the 2nd house, Jupiter and the Sun in twelfth and eighth signs respectively and Saturn in the sixth house. Similarly, Venus in the ascendant, Mercury occupying the 2nd house, Jupiter in the 4th house and Saturn in the 11th house could usher auspicious results for marriage ceremony.

Combination of Mercury, Jupiter and Venus in the ascendant signifies Vijaya yoga. Venus and Jupiter in the ascendant signifies Vijaya yog.

Venus and Jupiter in the Ascendant forms Jaya yog, when either of them is elevated.

Following Yogas are also acceptable for matrimonial alliances :

(i) Saturn in 3rd house, Jupiter in 6th, the Sun in 10th and Mars in 11th — Pushy a Yoga.

(ii) Mars in 3rd house, Saturn in the 6th, Venus in the 9th, Jupiter in 12th — Maharshi Yoga.

Are You Unable To Get Up In The Morning?
A lot of people have problems getting up in the morning even though it can be very helpful in managing our day or even our health. Many of our ancient texts even go to the extent of saying that , Not Being Able To Watch The Sunrise Everyday Is A Big Sin.

When one is not able to get up early it can be taken as an indication of some problem in one’s health – unless of course one’s work is the reason for sleeping late at night and hence getting up later in the morning.

Who Has It Easily ?

People under the influence of the Sun, Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter – will enjoy the mornings and be active in the morning. They will also have less health problems – at least they will not have any of the following problems: stomach issues, too much heat in the body, or problems due to a slow brain.

Why Can’t You Get Up?

People affected by Moon, Shani, and Rahu will have problems getting up in the morning which causes them to be irritable immediately after they are awake. After this, they may then stroll around from one place to the other before actually doing something. On the other hand, such people are very active at night.

People who remain awake till late at night are very much influenced by Rahu and Shani. They need to be cautious though because these planets cause the brain’s capacity to decrease over time. Remedies:

Getting up in the morning and breathing in the fresh air can solve many of our problems. It’s important to get in to this habit gradually , so you don’t drastically change your wake up time.

Start drinking some Amla juice , empty stomach and having some aloe vera 5 minutes after that in the mornings. These will help balance the body and reduce excess fat caused by too much eating. It will also make your face glow and make you more active.

Eat 2-3 munakkas in the night.

Some people aren’t able to get up even when they have opened their eyes in the morning. Such people should massage some coconut oil in the soles of their feet at night before sleeping.

To sleep on time at night: learn Yog Nidra; wash your feet before going to bed; take some Ratti beads and sew them into red cloth and place them between your head and pillow to sleep on time; or just read some book even a boring book.

Meditating early morning , 45 minutes before and after sunrise time can cure whole body chakraas and hence balance our mind , body and soul .
